School Handbook

Our school handbook is a helpful guide for families. Inside, you’ll find important information about our routines, expectations, policies, and ways we work together to support students. We encourage all families to take a few minutes to read through it so you’re familiar with how our school runs. The handbook is available and can be revisited anytime throughout the year.

Volunteering in the School or with School Related Events/Activities

Every year dozens of parents, guardians and community members help to enhance the experiences of our students through volunteer support at school and on field trips. HHPS appreciates this generous sharing of time, skills and knowledge. We hope that you, too, will want to participate in your child's school life. However, you need to plan ahead and complete some paperwork to be able to join the students at school or on excursions throughout the year.

The Bluewater District Board of Education requires that all adults wishing to volunteer or participate in school activities complete the vulnerable screening process through the OPP.  The process is mandatory for all volunteer situations at HHPS, including for:
- classroom volunteers
- chaperones on a school field trip or sports event
- assistant coaching
- food service volunteers
- literacy support volunteers
- clubs and extracurricular activities

Please reach out to Mrs. Culbert ([email protected]) to help you with this process.
