Every year dozens of parents, guardians and community members help to enhance the experiences of our students through volunteer support at school and on field trips. HHPS appreciates this generous sharing of time, skills and knowledge. We hope that you, too, will want to participate in your child's school life. However, you need to plan ahead and complete some paperwork to be able to join the students at school or on excursions throughout the year.
The Bluewater District Board of Education requires that all adults wishing to volunteer or participate in school activities complete Consent to Disclosure of Personal Information releases for the Ontario Provincial Police and the Children's Aid Society. The process takes a little time and effort, but is mandatory for all volunteer situations at HHPS, including for:
- classroom volunteers
- chaperones on a school field trip or sports event
- assistant coaching
- food service volunteers
- literacy support volunteers
- clubs and extracurricular activities
